- 25g of protein in every serving – higher than most which usually level out at about 20g
- Low levels of carbs – good if you’re looking to go after a lean physique
- No added sugar
- Super tasty/doesn’t taste chemically – We love the cinnamon swirl, and so do other customers
- 30 Servings in each tub – A good month of supplementation
- Option to buy as a one off or subscribe and save so you never run out
- Only two flavors available, but this is one of the tastiest protein shakes for women around in our humble opinion
Cira Bright Protein – what is it and do you need it?
So many people think protein shakes and they imagine a big guy with pumped up arms in the gym. Well, the fact is women absolutely need protein just as much as guys, and a protein supplement for women, like the Cira Nutrition Bright Whey Protein, can be critical in supporting healthy muscle maintenance and growth – especially if you’re hitting the gym regularly.
A tasty protein shake like Bright Whey Protein (especially the cinnamon swirl flavor!) is easy and convenient to supplement your diet with.
So, how good is Cira Nutrition’s Whey Protein compared to others on the market? And should you invest? We’ve reviewed the product and are happy to say it’s got a great serving of protein, it’s low in carbs (which is a consideration for many looking to stay/get lean) and it really is one of the tastiest proteins we’ve tried.
Let’s find out some more.
Cira Bright Whey Protein Ingredients
Whey Protein Isolate – This is the good stuff. As the name suggests, every attempt has been made to isolate the Whey Protein here, so you can expect there to be hardly any carbs or fats in this element of the formula. It’s high quality and it’s known for its ability to grow muscle and support recovery .
Whey Protein Concentrate – This is also good stuff. This is also extremely high in protein, it does carry with it a little more carbs and fats. However, looking at the low levels of carbs, fats and calories in Bright Whey Protein, it looks like the majority of the formula is made up of Whey Protein Isolate. This has likely just been added in to up the protein and make the formula more affordable, as Isolate can be much more expensive.
Stevia Extract – A natural sweetener, this contributes towards the taste we all enjoyed of Bright Whey Protein, without heavily impacting the sugar of carb content of the mix.
Himalayan Rock Salt – Who doesn’t like a bit of sweet and salty? You can’t actually taste the salt, but we think this may have been added in to support with sodium levels, which can dip after a workout. It’s also been linked to nutrient absorption too, which may help your body process the rest of the mix .
Other ingredients – Natural and Artificial flavors and Sucralose – Although it’s not entirely natural, we’re mad about it as it’s difficult to achieve a great, low sugar taste, without some artificial elements. However, we’re fine with this as it really does make a difference having a nice-flavored protein you can rely on.
To Note: If you’re a vegan, whey protein isn’t for you. It’s derived from the Whey in cows milk and therefore is not a plant based protein. However, Cira Nutrition do offer a vegan alternative to Bright Whey, so check that out too!
Bright Whey Protein Flavors
With Bright Whey Protein, you’ve got two flavors to choose from: Cinnamon Swirl and Cookies n’ Cream
Compared to other big companies out there, you might think this isn’t the best offering, as you can get pretty much any flavor under the sun nowadays! However, we can definitely get on board with a more exclusive offering – especially when quality definitely outweighs quantity in our book.
We said it earlier on in this Cira Nutrition Bright Whey Protein review, and we’ll say it again: this is one of the best tasting whey proteins we’ve tried.
For gym girls who are always seen with a protein shaker in one hand, and who are always on the hunt for a protein powder than tastes like a treat, rather than a nasty shake, that’s big statement.
And we don’t say that lightly!

Value and price
It’s also worth noting that, if you do like this product you can subscribe which will save you 5% on each recurring order. So if you do find the flavor and product agrees with you, then it might be worth thinking about that too.
With Cira Bright Whey Protein, you get 30 servings in each tub. This is important as it helps to understand the value for money on this product.
You’re paying about $1.33 per serving with this product, which, when you consider the price of say, a one off shake from your gym or a protein bar, or even a filet of chicken, it’s a pretty good deal for the serving of protein you get. Especially if you end up subscribing and getting the 5% discount.
