What is the AddsFit Max massage gun?
The AddsFit Max is a deep tissue massage gun, that is used to help promote recovery and to reduce knot and muscle pain. The vibrations from the guns strike break down soft tissue knots, which in turn help to reduce discomfort, pain and muscle tightness so you can recover more efficiently and quickly from a workout, and relax.
On top of that, the vibrations from the Addsfit Max massage gun, also help to improve blood flow through muscles, which can help to remove and flush harmful toxins in muscles. This can also help to boost recovery and reduce inflammation and soreness post workout.

Compared to it’s little sister, the AddsFit Mini, the max is a bigger, heavier and more powerful, whilst also offering more variety when it comes to massage ability. This is due to the fantastic range of nine massage speeds and five different heads.
When we looked at the market, we found that the AddsFit Max came in cheaper than a lot of other similar deep tissue massage guns. However, when we tried it out for ourselves, we didn’t see that it was lacking in quality at all, making it a very reasonably priced product. Let’s take a closer look at what you get with this gun in our AddsFit Max review.

What do you get with the AddsFit Max?
Unboxing the AddsFit Max was a very exciting experience. First up, it came in a cardboard box that featured simple, yet stylish design. The heavier weight of the box was reassuring on size and quality.
Inside, we found the protective case. This was quite large and came with a handle and smart Addsfit logo. The case itself is of very good quality and offers a hard protective shell. That means you can take the massage gun anywhere with you or store it safely in your house, without the worry of damaging your new, fantastic massage gun. All of this adds to the quality of the gun and the value for money too.
This product is definitely on the heavier side coming in at just less than a kilo, but we found that reassuring, as you need a hefty, quality product to create the right amount of force for a good massage.
The box itself is well organised and sleek, meaning you can keep all your heads in place with ease.

When we looked inside, we saw a range of exciting items. The gun, in it’s dismantled form, a small net bag with five heads inside, a charging cable, and two leaflets. Let’s take a closer look at them in this AddsFit Max review.
The heads:
First and foremost, lets review the AddsFit Max heads. This is the crux of the deep tissue massage gun, as the heads determine what kind of massage you can expect.
- The Dampener – Impact level – soft
- The Triggered Flat – Impact Level – Soft
- The Wedge – Impact Level – Medium
- The Thumb – Impact Level – Hard
- The Fork – Impact Level – Hard+
As you can see there’s a fantastic range of options with this selection of five heads, as the intensity increases or decreases, depending on what you want from your massage gun and which head you use.
What’s more, the AddsFit Max Leaflet that accompanies the gun provides a detailed description on how difficult you can expect the head to be and where you can use them on your body. So, if you’re just starting out with a massage gun, you can rest assured you’re doing the right thing.
One slight hiccup we found with this is that the heads are silicone. The only issue we found with this is, if you’re moving the massage gun over your skin or clothes, the rubber can stick when you’re applying more pressure to a certain area. It’s not a huge issue, it just means you may not get as sleek a movement as you might expect.
Alongside the instructional leaflet, we also found a card which you can use to activate a 36 month warranty on your AddsFit Max massage gun. This is a fantastic element of buying this gun, as it gives you peace of mind that you can claim on the warranty if anything should go wrong in the next three years, but it also means the people who’ve made the gun are extremely confident in the quality and durability of their product.
It’s a big thumbs up from us and we think you should definitely take advantage of this perk.
Let’s take a look at the gun itself in our AddsFit Max review. The body is made from aluminium which is great, as it’s easy to keep clean and hygienic. The handle has a silicone grip, which is also great for hygiene and reduces the chance of slipping.
This is a great design choice for the handle, as this gun is a bit heavier, and you don’t want to risk dropping it when you’re working on difficult-to-reach areas like your back or shoulders.
When you open the box, the first thing you notice is that the gun is in two seperate sections – the handle and the body of the gun itself. You have to put it together to use it. Initially we thought this was a little cumbersome, however we found it could be put together and dismantled with ease. And, it’s clear that this comes as part of the design feature so the protective case could be smaller and easier to carry, so there are swings and roundabouts.
When it comes to attaching the head, we found it easy to attach the head, but actually quite difficult to remove as the silicone sticks to the head holder. Eventually we did get it off, but it’s by no means the easiest thing to take apart. Despite this, at least you know the heads stay on firmly!
The charging plug is also neatly tucked away in the box and can be plugged directly into a socket on the wall.

AddsFit Max Spec and Power – What to Expect
When you start looking at reviews for bigger massage guns, the main draw for a lot of people comes down to the spec. We already know the gun is made of quality materials and offers a great ergonomic and aesthetic design, but does it have the technical capabilities to do the job? Let’s take a look at the most important elements:

Let’s take a look at what these all means for you as a massage gun user in our AddsFit Max review.
First up, size and weight. Compared to other muscle tissue massage guns out there, the AddsFit Max comes in at about average. It’s definitely not the heaviest, which is great as you don’t want to have to lug it around to reach your back and it’s not the biggest, which is also great for ease of use.
When it comes to storing it away, the compartmentalised protective bag and the fact it can be dismantled mean it’s a lot easier to store than other, similar products on the market.
When it comes to power, our AddsFit Max review found it certainly delivers. It offers up a huge range of repetitions per minute, with 200RPM increase increments throughout. That means you can find the perfect massage speed to suit you with ease. You don’t want to go up 500rpm in intensity when you’re working on a sensitive area!
Battery life on this is great. You get up to 270 minutes overall, but this will depend on the intensity of the massage you use. The higher the setting, the less time you’ll get overall. But, having said that, you definitely won’t be going back to the charger every time you use it.
The material used in the AddsFit Max really impressed us. We liked the all aluminum design of the AddsFit Mini, however, after performing a careful Addsfit Max review, we like the use of silicone.
With the additional weight of this larger massage gun, the silicone handle is an excellent choice, as it reduces the chance of slipping when you’re using it and you definitely don’t want to be dropping it any time soon!
How to use the AddsFit Max massage gun
Throughout our AddsFit Max review, we found it was super easy to use, even if you do have to build it slightly before hand!
- Before you turn the AddsFit Max on, choose your attachment and push it onto the head holder firmly. Give it a pull to make sure it’s clipped into place
- Now, attach the AddsFit Max handle to the body of the gun, listening for a click
- From there, push the head holder firmly into the gun
- Flick the switch at the bottom of the gun to turn it on, then press the on button on the body of the AddsFit Max
- To increase or decrease the speed, press the plus or minus button either side of the on button. Watch the lights around it to see how much speed you’re using
- Gently place the head of the gun on the problem area of muscle. Move the gun around, trying not to focus too much on one section. This should help to get the blood moving. Avoid joints and bones.
- When you feel like a little looser, simply press the on button on the body, then flick the switch on the bottom of the handle to completely turn it off.
- To dismantle, remove the head holder and twist the silicone head off. It can get stuck but stick with it! Press the black release button on the side of the body and pull the handle down.
Disclaimer – Before you use any massage gun…
The AddsFit Max is a very powerful massage gun and should be used correctly to avoid causing harm, or damaging your muscles. Anyone should be carefully when using it.
When using it, keep the following points in mind:
- If it starts to hurt, stop. Using the AddsFit Max should never become unbearably painful. Sure, you’ll feel a bit of pain and discomfort when breaking down a knot, but if it’s too much stop straight away.
- Soft Tissue Only! Don’t use this massage gun on anything apart from soft tissue muscle. Do not use it on joints, bones or nerves.
- Never use a massage gun on your neck. Your carotid arteries run up either side of your neck and the vibrations from the gun can cause damage.
If you stick to these rules, you should be fine to use the AddsFit Max in a safe and healthy way that will promote recovery and relaxation.
AddsFit Max Design
The overall impression we got from AddsFit Max review was an excellent one. With a sleek design that offers important functional elements too, we think there have been some very smart choices made in the AddsFit Max design.
While at first we were concerned about the design choice of having the to rebuild the body and the handle, however, having used it we found it easy to dismantle and put together. And, on top of that, it means the case itself is convenient to store, which isa key design feature in our eyes.
The smart aluminium body both looks good, and offers a hygienic solution too. So, wherever you’re using it, you can rest assured it’s easy to keep clean.
When it comes to the handle, silicone is a brilliant design choice. The geometric pattern of the handle looks good and offers extra grip, so you can rest assured it won’t slip or move when using it.
The silicone heads are also there to provide grip too, but we found it could be quite difficult to remove the head from the head holder at times. However, with time it has become easier. Also, you can say this provides extra reassurance everything stays in place when you’re using the AddsFit Max at it’s most powerful setting.

AddsFit Max Price and Value
AddsFit Max Price: $189.98/£141
As with the AddsFit Mini we found the price to be very reasonable. With this lower price, high power levels and excellent quality materials we think it’s worth the money.
There might be slightly more powerful options out there, but we really don’t think it’s necessary for higher power – this massager offers excellent levels that are more than enough to deal with our knots and muscle pains.
Overall, due to the low price and the excellent levels of power and quality, after an AddsFit Mx review, we rate it as excellent value for money.
